Ash Thorp and Tyler Hynes are back with a third addition to their film Chimera. This is the most intriguing film release I’ve seen. Chimera gets released for a few short days and then disappears. It is then re-released with additional scenes, building the story as it goes, each installment as cryptic as the last. Each riddle, more difficult than the last.
Chimera is set in Dystopian Arizona, 2035. We learn ten people die on April 11 at 11:11. Those deaths have been unsolved. What we see next, I believe, are the events leading up to that.
Everything is important in discovering the intention behind Chimera. No detail is too small. From the opening sequence, to the three small dots tattooed on Hynes, to the bathtub Hynes dies in… twice.
There have been many theories spinning around the website chatroom and social media. I personally have avoided looking at them as I want to keep my experience with this thought-provoking film uninfluenced.
